I have been in the medical industry for over eight years. I have seen several different types of billing software. I have yet to find another software that covers all the stated "HIPAA" compliancy needs. This software has made my job as owner of a Durable Medical Equipment company much easier.

When it comes to a billing software that covers all HIPAA compliance requirements, AR-Express is the one you need. Since our company has been utilizing this system we have seen such an improvement in our claim transmissions as well as our ability to control our supply and demand. This software has enhanced our ability to run numerous reports to track our company productivity as well as pinpointing needs for improvement. You have the ability to create reports to pull detailed information and filter information not needed.
In the beginning it was challenging to adapt to new software after using the previous one for so long. But because AR-Express software is so versatile in their set-up, we were able to create a system to reflect the set-up of our old system to make the transition much easier. But the transition would not have been completely successful without the help of their wonderful staff. They are the most efficient group of people you would want to work with in medical billing. I believe with a staff like that is the reason why they are successful and their software is the best on the market today.

It has been over six years since our decision to switch to a more comprehensive software for our business. Healthcare Software Solutions and AR-Express seemed to be the right tool for the job at hand, enabling us to take more hands on control of our business. One of the issues we always faced was why did we have to use a clearing house for our billing when we had a full billing staff in house? The reason was that we could never find software that was comprehensive enough or well tailored to our business that would allow us to do our own submissions. Well the people at Healthcare Software Solutions and AR-Express have solved this problem. We now have complete control over all phases of our business, allowing us to run our business on our own schedule not someone else's. The program also offers us better reporting capabilities which is what we all know enables our company to grow in today's market.

I have been doing business with ARExpress Billing System for 11 years. There are two very important areas to me... their prompt and courteous attention to my questions even after all these years, and their willingness to make changes in the program to suit my individual clients, which I hear is uncommon in most software programs.

As a consultant exposed to many different vendor options, AR-Express is definitely one of the leading software vendors that I recommend. They offer so many options to meet the needs of DME suppliers beyond billing to include eligibility, automated calling, Point of Sale, and inventory management. The application is user friendly and intuitive which is essential to keeping staff trained in its use. When you call their office for support you always reach a live person. That makes a big difference in my book!

Over the past 20 years I have used many different medical billing software programs, so I have extensive experience as an end user. I also worked for 2 companies that sold medical billing software, so I have considerable experience setting up Master Files and getting the programs running. SourceOne Medical was in the Market looking to update our billing program software. When I visited DIABCO’s HIPAA Billing Systems booth at a Trade Show in Las Vegas in 2005, I was very surprised that Ed Kutt (owner of the company) was actually able to answer all my questions in detail (not just the “yes, we can do that” answer from most sales people), and then demonstrate the features, functions, and reports that made me a believer. My co-worker and myself had been viewing all the different programs at the show. Many users have limited experience using different medical billing software programs, and often do not know what questions to ask to find the software that best meets the specific needs of their company. Much of it comes down to the reporting capabilities, that should provide real time information for upper level management, sales and marketing, tracking and inventory control, and most importantly (for me) collections. My co-worker Nate also had very specific needs with inventory control that had to be met. We installed DIABCO’s software in July 2005. It actually replaced 2 different software programs, and provided more features and functionality than both programs combined. In addition, it has continued to meet our needs during a period of considerable growth in products, personnel and sales. If this is not enough of a recommendation for DIABCO, I also should add that their support has exceeded my expectations as well. As a (former) Medical Software Billing trainer, installer and (currently) end user, I give DIABCO my full endorsement.
